SpiTrader
A Short Term 100% Mechanical SPI Trading System

SpiTrader is my original model I released in April 2001 . This is the model from which my IndexTrader model was created and officially renamed in April 2003. 

SpiTrader is a short term 100% mechanical pattern trading model that can be traded with a AUD15,000 account. SpiTrader consists of eight patterns that are surprisingly simple making it a robust methodology. As a bonus due to its re-release in October 2007 I have added two extra patterns. Please review the results below to see whether SpiTrader may have helped your SPI trading.

The robustness of SpiTrader's simple methodology is demonstrated by its success since its original release in April 2001. As SpiTrader's equity curve shows above, on a single contract basis, the model is not dependent on any individual large trades to make it profitable.

As you can see SpiTrader has performed strongly (hypothetically) with a draw down of -$22,225 since 1983. (See the following link for additional insight into SpiTrader's historical drawdowns: DRAWDOWN ANALYSIS )

Although SpiTrader has a low average win to average loss ratio of 0.8 it does have a high 70% accuracy rate allowing it to deliver a positive 26% expectancy.

SpiTrader's average losing trade is -$634 and it averages just under 4 signals per month. The average length of time in a trade is only 2 days. Remember SpiTrader is a short-term pattern trading system.

If you don't have a trading approach for the SPI then you may like to consider SpiTrader.
