Hi Brent,
I received my copy of "The Universal Principles of Successful
Trading" yesterday and here I am, at 0330 hr, still sitting here
reading it. I hope that says something for the content.
Whilst I do have some knowledge of VBA I don't think it's good
enough to try writing your simulation into Excel; I would therefore
like to take up your kind offer of a ready to use copy of the
simulator.
Now back to the book ......
Many thanks

Dear Brent,
First, I have to say that your latest book is one of the best books
I have ever read about trading (and I read a lot: 50-80 books/year).
I worked together with Andrea Unger (2008 and 2009 World Champion
future trader) and at the moment I try a new Chart pattern trading
System. I also work for a company were we hold Trading Seminars ->
so if there is a chance that you visit Austria and would like to
hold a seminar, then we would love to organise that for you(http://www.eventustrading.com/Education/).
And if possible
could you send me your ROR Simulator....
Thank you, and
Greetings from Vienna

Hi Brent,
May I first thank you for writing a trading book just for me! I
have read 30+ books on this confounded subject and ‘At Last’ I have
found your book which reads like a personal therapy session.
Although I’m only at chapter three, I can see this book being a
Trading Classic of the future.
May I request a copy of your ‘Risk of Ruin’ simulator for Excel?
PS - Please can I request that you stop writing more book of this
standard as we don’t want to inform the masses the truth about
trading

Dear Brent,
Maybe you remember me, I met you at the investment forum in Suntec,
Singapore. (I am a bold Swiss guy named Joel) I was on my way to
work in the MRT, when I saw an ad on John Bollinger coming to
Singapore, so I registered to the seminar and add your presentation
to my schedule. John was wonderful, but I have to say that it was
your presentation that inspires me the most, together with your
book.
Your book is talking to me at every line. Since I started an
interest in trading in 2007, I read and studied over 40 books (And I
became a CMT), but with my experience in trading, I always felt that
something was wrong or missing , that I still had no clues or
guidance. Your book answered a lot of my questions and provided me
guidance, glue my pieces of knowledge together (Don't worry if you
don't understand what it means...I am french speaking). As you
wrote, maybe not all the readers can see the value of the book, as
this knowledge can be accepted after some experiences have been
done. I am sure it will help to continue my trading adventure with a
new enlightenment. By the way, I supposed you noticed or maybe was
it left like this to see if some attentive readers give a feedback.
The expectancy formula of p44 is wrongly written (but correctly on
p164).
I just wanted to thank you so much to write this book, I read
already twice! Are you coming again in Singapore soon for your 2
days seminar and 90 days trading coaching? I am thinking joining.
Thanks a lot again and wish you nice summer holidays.
Kind regards,
Joel Widmer

Hi Brent,
Firstly let me say what a great book, you are truly a great word
smith, I wished you had have written this book 7 years ago, as I
don't think I have come across a more honest account in my readings
of the reality of this capper of trading futures. I really enjoyed
your say on the issues of the pain associated with trading, its a
lonely and painful world when you are losing. Once again thanks for
a great read. .... Once again thank you for sharing your experience
in words, well done.

Hi Brent,
I have just gone through your latest book “The Universal Principles
of Successful Trading”. I thank you for providing such a valuable
resource to traders. I have been building trading systems for stock
market in the past few years. Reading your book has confirmed the
nagging doubts that I have been having recently. As much as I have
been on guard against curve-fitting, I probably have been doing
exactly that, albeit inadvertently. I have read most of the
mainstream books on trend following, expectancy and position sizing,
but these concepts were really driven home only after reading your
book.
I would also
appreciate if you could email me the script for the risk of ruin
calculation outlined in your book.
Best regards

Fantastic book!
One of the best books I have read on trading. I especially like the
part that addresses pain management!

Dear Brent,
Being a mechanical trader in Index Futures myself, I just enjoy
reading your book "The universal principles of successful trading"
which I received today.
I would very much appreciate if you could send my a copy of your
Risk-of-Ruin Simulator, as mentioned in your book!
Best regards

I believe most
people are after the “Holy Grail “ of systems that have a high
percentage of profitable trades. Hit Rate. As soon as a losing
streak occurs they look for the next high hit rate system. I was one
of them, for 10 years!
Anyway I do believe your new book is a work of art . The holy grail.

First up Brent,
congratulations on production of a brilliant book. In my 17 years of
"dabbling" with the markets I've not read anything better to help a
trader reverse his losing ways. You've described my journey
remarkably accurately - tips from newspapers, brokers, purchased
trading systems which I didn't validate before use and didn't have
the confidence in when the inevitable drawdowns occurred, gullible
belief in all that I read and heard, mystic gurus - XXXXXX,
expensive sophisticated software, seminars and lots more (you missed
out significant losses caused by unhedged currency fluctuations) .
Your book has given me the impetus to start again and do it a
smarter way this time, a more analytical way. I'm short term
discretionary but developing very tight rules which have zero
variables when identifying support/resistance and retracements and
can be readily verified for expectation. I trade CFDs on the ASX.
.... I'm in the process of emailing my 30 trades as well as continuing my
hypothetical testing on back data, it is looking promising at the
moment.
Again, thank you for a fantastic book ( I've got lots of them to
judge against).

Hi Brent,
I met you briefly before your cycle indicator session in Singapore
on Sunday morning. I wanted to write briefly to congratulate you on
your book. I ended up lying to you when I said I wouldn't stay up
all night reading it - that's exactly what I did!
There are some hard truths in the material, and quite a few gems - I
love the xxxx xxxx approach. The chapter on methodology is superb,
and challenges thinking I have had for several decades.
I wanted to say thank you for a great read, and good luck with your
trading.
Kind regards,

Brent,
I have read your book, fantastic work and very enjoyable. I think
I'll need to re-read the money management section to really get to
grips with it.

Hi Brent,
Glad I bought your book on universal principles at ATIC Singapore.
It’s very comprehensive, covering many important areas and throwing
a lot of 'rubbish' and 'noise' out the window.
Thank you once again.
