Winners are the best losers. This contradictory relationship lies at the core of trading success. Usually it takes many years of trading and losses, before traders understand this apparent contradiction. Penfold clearly explains how this contradiction develops, and the methods he used to resolve the contradiction. Trading methods are not created using a computer program. Successful real-world methods are based on a thorough understanding of market dynamics and tempered with hard-won experience. Success combines an analysis method, trading discipline, appropriate risk management, selected markets and a match with your individual psychology. It is this personalised combination which often makes it difficult to teach others about trading. Yet running through all of these features are some basic foundations. Penfold calls them universal principles. Penfold clearly explains the foundations he uses for his BBTT trading methodology. This is not a system developed with computer simulations, although he references extensive back testing results. This is a system that emerges naturally from the foundations and universal principles of good trading. Penfold shows you the steps he followed, and why he rejected some of the more popular by-ways that distract want-to-be traders. Books by serious, thoughtful and professional traders are uncommon. When they appear they deserve a place on your bookshelf.
